In this guide to Pokémon Go's Special research mission "A Route to New Friendships" from Pokémon Go, you'll find all the answers and information you need to complete this series of Pokémon quests.

This special research mission is available to all Pokémon Go players. During this mission, you'll have to interact with the game's new NPC Mateo.

Step 1/4

In this mission, you'll need to exchange a gift with Matéo. To find it, you'll have to follow a route to the last PokéStop at the end of the road.

Missions:

  • Explore 1 km (Wooloo encounter)
  • Spin 3 PokéStops (x900 XP)
  • Earn a Candy exploring with your Buddy (5x Razz Berry)
  • Exchange a Gift with Mateo (1x Incense)

Rewards:

  • x1000 XP
  • x1000 Stardust

Step 2/4

Missions:

  • Catch 7 Pokémon (x10 Poké ball)
  • Spin 5 PokéStops (x1500 XP)
  • Explore 3 km (Wooloo encounter)
  • Walk 1,000 m while traveling Routes (Woobat encounter)

Missions:

  • Hatch an Egg (Feebas encounter)
  • Spin 15 PokéStops (x2000 XP)
  • Complete 5 Field Research (x1000 Stardust)
  • Exchange 3 Gifts with Mateo (Sneasel (Hisuian) encounter)
