Poké Ball

A device for catching wild Pokémon. It's thrown like a ball, comfortably encapsulating its target.

The Poké Ball is the most common item for catching Pokémon. When you select a Pokémon on the map, the Poké Ball will be the default item with which to catch the Pokémon.

You'll find Poké Balls in PokéStops, arenas, as a reward in a raid, Field Research, passing levels 2 to 11, in gifts and in the store.

If you have a Pokémon Go Plus, the Poké Ball is the only ball it will use. With the Pokémon Go Plus + accessory, the Poké Ball will be the one used for automatic throws, but you can use the others for manual actions.

To increase the number of experiences gained when catching a Pokémon, you can make a throwable effect by holding your finger on the Poké Ball and rotating it to see an effect. Once you can see the effect, you can throw it, and it will be curved.

This item is unlocked from level 2.
