In this guide to Pikmin 4 on Nintendo Switch, we'll go over the Commands you can give to Oatchi.

You'll quickly realize that Oatchi, the crew dog, is an essential partner in your adventure. In fact, he's the first member of the crew you'll meet at the start of the game, and he'll accompany you throughout your journey. He enables you to charge over obstacles, jump higher, bring back treasure, attack enemies and much more!

How do I give Commands to Oatchi?

As the game progresses, you'll unlock the wheel by pressing Y, after which you can select the Commands option.

Here's the list of commands you can give Oatchi:

• Pick Up a Scent: Oatchi will start looking for a lead to locate something interesting for you. 
• Find Castaways: Oatchi will be on the lookout for any castaways in the area.
• Find Treasure: Oatchi will be on the lookout for any treasure nearby. 
• Find Onions: Oatchi will be looking for onion trail nearby.  
• Find Raw Material: Oatchi will track down all the resources nearby.
• Find a type Pikmin: Oatchi will search for a trail of the type of Pikmin you want. * The type of Pikmin will increase as the game progresses, as you encounter different types of Pikmin as you progress through the story.
