Getting started with Pokémon Sleep

Getting started with Pokémon Sleep
Jul 11, 2023

When you start the adventure, you'll automatically receive Pikachu, who will help you at the beginning of the game. After being introduced by Professor, you'll have to decide what time you should sleep. Going to bed earlier will give you an advantage.

A sleep session must last at least 90 minutes, and you'll only be able to measure two sleep sessions per day. This means that if you take a nap, it will only be counted if it lasts more than 1h30.

You'll need to authorize the application to use the phone's microphone to record the quality of your sleep. During the sleep session, it's advisable to leave your device plugged in so as not to drain your battery. You should also place the phone on the mattress and avoid hard surfaces.

Finally, don't put the app to sleep and leave the device on with the screen towards the mattress. Be careful however not to put the phone under the pillow, as this could overheat and in some cases inflame the battery. During sleep sessions, you'll be able to activate a lullaby if you're interested.

Pokémon GO Plus+

The Pokémon Go Plus+ is an accessory that allows you to avoid using your phone directly as a measuring device. This accessory isn't new to Pokémon games, as you can use it on the Pokémon Go game too.

To get the most out of the game, Pokémon Go Plus is a must. It's less intrusive, and doesn't require the special attention and placement that your phone does. You will, however, need to keep your phone plugged in, as the accessory is connected via Bluethooth.

If you use Pokémon Go Plus+, you'll get an exclusive Pikachu with a night cap. It will be able to collect berries in the game. By using the accessory, you'll further strengthen your bond of friendship. It will also give you the ability to change your lullaby and ringtone and find more berries.

Sleep

The main element of the game is sleep, during which you will carry out research sessions. After your first sleep session, you'll receive a report on the quality of your session and a number of points.

If you sleep for 8.5 hours, you'll get 100 points, which is the maximum possible score. The game will explain the different sleep phases with game-specific terms.

Please note that if your phone is completely discharged, the game will only count the number of hours before it switches off.

Pokémons

As you sleep, you'll activate Snorlax's Strength, which depends on Snorlax's strength and the length of your sleep. The Pokémon you attract are registered in the Sleep Style Dex and have a Sleep Style. Depending on your sleep type, you'll attract different Pokémon. For example, with a Bondodo sleep style, you'll attract Fire and Electrick Pokémon.

Befriend

After a sleep session, you can give cookies to the Pokémon present. Giving cookies to Pokémon earns friendship points. Cookies can be obtained in a variety of ways, mainly by playing every day. By improving a Pokémon's friendship level, you'll get a different bonus.

The islands

Every week, you'll have to choose your island to begin your search. During this time, you'll need to help Snorlax accumulate power. With the berries your Pokémon find, you can feed the island's Snorlax. It's also possible to give it food.
