The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom

In this walkthrough for Hogwarts Legacy, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom.

Head first to Deek in the Room of Requirement, located near the Astronomy Tower. Deek will inform you that he has found a capture bag in the Room, which is used to retrieve and transport magical creatures. Talk to him again to teleport outside, and follow him into Hogwarts to find out how the capture bag works.

First, Deek will lead you to several Puffskeins. Gently approach it with the capture bag open, and press the corresponding command. Be sure to equip the capture bag in your spell set. Then return to Deek with your new find.

Deek will then ask you to capture a Jobberknoll, a flying creature that will be a little more difficult to catch. Head west of Hogwarts and speak with Deek to begin the task. Move slowly towards the Jobberknolls, using the Disillusionment Charm if necessary. Wait until the Jobberknoll is on the ground before opening your bag towards the animal.

Thirdly, you'll need to catch a Mooncalf. Head for the nearby herd of Veaudelunes.  It's important to know that these creatures only appear at night. If necessary, bring forward the time for nightfall. Again, use the Disillusionment Charm and Levioso spells to prevent it from running away, if necessary, and open your bag towards the animal. Head over to Deek to show him what you've found. 

Then take the captured creatures back to the Room of Requirement. Deek will ask you to think of something in order to free these creatures. You'll conjure up a Vivarium, a greenhouse in the Room of Requirement that acts as an open-air home for your magical creatures. Enter and join Deek. 

Release the creatures from the capture bag. Deek will inform you that magical raw materials can be recovered by feeding and caring for the magical creatures. Feed and care for each creature. They will each provide you with a magical raw material.

Once you've collected all 3 materials, head for Deek. He'll ask you to summon an enchanted loom with a Spellcraft to show you how to use these resources properly. Indeed, magical raw materials will enable you to grant useful properties to your equipment. 

Step out of the Vivarium and summon an enchanted loom. Then select the equipment you want to upgrade and add an attribute. At the same time, you'll earn the Weave to Rule achievement. Once you've completed this task, talk to Deek. This concludes the quest: The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom, making way for your next main quest in Hogwarts Legacy: In the Shadow of the Estate.
