In this walkthrough for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: Regional Phenomena - Part 5: To Gerudo Town.

Before progressing to the next region for the Regional Investigation, feel free to talk to the characters located at Zora's Domain to unlock side quests or missions including: A Crabulous Deal and more. Don't forget to stop by the Lookout Standing to stock up on food and weapons, or to see if any new characters have appeared.

To get to Gerudo Town in the Gerudo region, head southwest from the Lookout Standing.

If you're heading in the right direction, you'll pass the Military Camp and the Exchange Ruins in Hyrule Field. At the Exchange Ruins, you'll find Addison installing a Hudson Construction Company sign and the Mayachin Shrine. There's also the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower, if you haven't already unlocked it, simply attack the enemies guarding the Tower. Use the explosive bars to your advantage while being careful against the enemies, and merge your weapon with the spiked ball that rolls towards you as you approach the Tower.

Project yourself high into the sky with the Tower, and take advantage of this height to head faster in the direction of Gerudo. You'll see mountains that look a little drier, and you're getting closer to the desert.

On your way, you may also come across a mini-game in which the aim is to hit the giant gong with as much force as possible. To do this, you can use the Zonai at your disposal. * It's important to know that you have to pay 30 Rupees per try.

On the way, you'll pass the Outskirt Stable. Chat with the characters there to unlock missions. There's also 2 wells nearby, where you can explore to collect resources and meet the Great Fairy Kaysa at the top of the cliff. In order to meet the Great Fairy Kaysa, you need to let her hear the musician's flute. This is part of a mission. Also, don't forget to complete the Tsutsu-um Shrine so you can teleport there next time.

Then continue up the rocky mountains. Beware of the temperature, you'll need to have the right food to withstand it. Climb the mountains and head towards the Gerudo town. As you climb the rocky mountain, you'll come across a hot-air balloon at one point. Use it to climb up and get high. Then take advantage of the height to head for the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

  • Beware of the temperature, which is very hot when you head to this place, and you'll need to be well equipped or eat dishes that allow you to withstand the heat.

To reach the Tower, talk to Sawson, who seems to be stuck at the bottom. Head to the top of the tower and add weight to raise the platform where Sawson is standing. As a reward, you'll receive a dish and access to the Tower will be unlocked.

Project yourself high into the sky thanks to the Tower, and take advantage of this height once again to head faster in the direction of Gerudo. You'll see a Shrine and an illuminated Tower (see image below). Land here and you'll find yourself at the Kara Kara Bazaar. This is the gateway to Gerudo Town.

Once at the Kara Kara Bazaar, talk to people to unlock missions including: Decorate with Passion, Lost in the Dunes and more. Don't forget to complete the Mayatat Shrine, which is right next to the Kara Kara Bazaar, to be able to teleport there more easily next time. The Regional Phenomena - Part 5: To Gerudo Town main quest comes to an end, making way for your next main quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Riju of Gerudo Town.
