Super Intern Story is a single-player adventure game developed by France-based Blue Noise Games. In this comic game, you play an intern for a company that makes video games. Indeed, your role as an intern is to embody the video game monster. With its small sense of humor, Super Intern Story offers a game of adventure, reflection, management and more!

As mentioned earlier, you'll have to complete several tasks in the form of mini-games in order to be permanently recruited by the company. The main story is divided into short chapters and is fairly easy to follow. The tasks are varied and offer a unique gaming experience. The game is designed to be accessible to all types of player, whether beginner or experienced.

The game is built around a fun, cartoonish minimalist art style and a fairly simple, humorous storyline. As you progress through the game, you can unlock new mini-games and even side quests. Although the game is simple and easy to play, it still requires strategic thinking and good time management skill to succeed.

Promising gameplay the further you get into the story

As soon as you start the game, you're immediately thrown into the company, receiving a few instructions from your boss, a character who often interacts with you without you seeing him. However, the lack of information and instructions at the start of the game can leave the player a little confused.

As the game progresses, you'll better understand the style of the game. Your goal is to prepare a room which is the equivalent of a video game. The hero, a character who represents a fictional video game player, will arrive in that room. Your goal is to prepare the room before he arrives, it is the equivalent of an employee preparing an escape room in real life. In fact, the game is divided into several chapters in which you have to perform several types of task. Starting with pretending to die in front of the hero, placing coins, filling chests, placing barrels and more... You won't get bored!

A little short, but very nice

Each chapter of the game is divided into different mini-games. The mechanics of the mini-games are different each time and can be a little confusing at first, but players can easily adapt as it is designed to be accessible to all types of players, whether beginners or experienced. For the time being, the main story consists of 5 chapters that take 3-4 hours to complete. Despite the short duration of the main story, each chapter is represented by a mini-game with totally different settings. Each level has its own rules, which you'll have to respect. This is where the concept of coordination, reflection and management comes into play in this adventure game.

Very original concept

Super Intern Story is a highly original game that's out of the ordinary. Compared to other video game, you don't necessarily play the hero but the character behind the hero, helping the hero to achieve glory. That said, the game can also be seen as a simulation game in which you have to prepare an escape room.

What's more, it's also possible to complete side quests that are not mentioned in the game. This is quite unusual, since it's up to the player to explore the surroundings or talk to the characters, for example. You're free to choose whether you want to concentrate solely on the main story or try to complete the "hidden" side quests in order to receive achievements.

Conclusion

Super Intern Story is an entertaining video game offering a mix of mini-games. Although the game is simple and easy to play, it still requires strategic thinking and good time management to succeed. Despite the short length of the main story, there's still the option to explore locations to complete side quests and even collect all the "collectibles" in the game. It's up to you to find them all!
