Regional Phenomena - Part 2: To Rito Village
In this walkthrough for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: Regional Phenomena - Part 2: To Rito Village.
To get to Rito Village in the Hebra Region, first exit the Lookout Standing from the south (the same direction as the Hyrule Field Chasm which is the place you visited during the Camera Work in the Depths main quest).
Once you're in the Hyrule Field, you can ride a horse to get around more quickly. To find out how to ride a horse, check out our guide.
Then head north-west towards the Lookout Standing. Don't hesitate to complete the Shrines along the way, as they allow you to receive Light of Blessing, which can be exchanged for heart receptacles from the goddess statue. This is the way to increase your health or stamina in the game.
Attack any enemies that come your way, as they have plenty of resources and weapons on them. It's a good way to fill up your inventory.
At some point, you'll have to cross a bridge (see map image below for location). * You can also go over the Carok Bridge to the north. Move forward slowly, so as not to alert enemies to your presence, and shoot an arrow attached to a Bomb Flower or Fire Fruit. Once the enemies have been defeated, continue on your way. It's even possible to open a chest to retrieve a Boko Spiked Bow. Collect all resources and cross the bridge to the other side.
Keep attacking the enemies in your path and cross the rocks with your Paraglider. Don't hesitate to use your Ascend ability to climb the rocks more quickly.
At some point, you'll find a hot-air balloon and 2 Flame Emitters. Use your Ultrahand ability to glue the pieces together and climb up this way.
When you reach the top, you'll see a structure with a missing piece nearby. Use your Ultrahand ability again to place the missing piece back on the structure. A Korok will appear and you will receive 1 Korok Seed.
Climb the rocks to the top and continue on to Labulat Hill. You will come to the Runakit Shrine. Continue towards the place indicated on the map. At a certain point, you'll encounter a giant monster called Hinox. To defeat it, simply shoot an arrow through its eye and attack it while it's stunned. Repeat the steps until his life bar runs out. Collect the resources and continue on your way.
Use your Paraglider to cross the mountains, and at some point you'll pass close to the Oromuwak Shrine. From this Shrine, use your Paraglider to head towards Rito Village.
Once you've arrived at Rito Village, take advantage of the opportunity to cook and collect any resources you can find along the way. Then climb the stairs to the top tier of Rito Village. You'll see 3 characters chatting. Approach them to find out more about what's causing the snowstorm and how to find Harth, who is in a base of the Hebra Mountains, as he may have information about Princess Zelda.
