The Locket's Secret

In this walkthrough for Hogwarts Legacy, we'll give you the complete tutorial for the main quest: The Locket's Secret.

You'll receive a letter from Professor Fig asking you to visit him in his classroom in the Tower of Defense against the Forces of Evil, since he's made a discovery about the Gringotts Medallion. 

He will inform you that he has discovered an enchanted inscription which has enabled him to conjure up a map of Hogwarts. Thanks to your ability to see glimmers, you observe that the map seems to highlight the section that represents the library's storeroom. This means that something is definitely hiding there. On the other hand, this area of the library seems forbidden and a little more dangerous. For this reason, Professor Fig recommends that you first master defensive magic before venturing into this kind of place. 

This requires you to complete the secondary quest: Professor Hecat's Assignment I in order to learn the Incendio spell. Indeed, to activate certain quests, you'll need to have reached a certain level or be in possession of particular tools.

To complete the secondary quest, return to Professor Hecat. She'll give you some homework to do before you can learn the Incendio spell. Before returning to her, you'll need to:

• Win two rounds of Magic duel 
• Completing spell combo training with Lucan Brattleby

To do this, head to the clock tower courtyard and chat with Lucan Brattleby to start the 2 rounds of Magical Duel. You'll be in teams of 2, so use your spells to protect yourselves and inflict damage on the enemy to win. Repeat the same process another time. 

For training spell sequences, talk to Lucan. Simply follow the corresponding spell symbols at the top of the screen and perform them before the training dummy falls to the ground. Finish 3 consecutive rounds to complete the training. 

Once you've completed the secondary quest: Professor Hecat's Assignment I, return to Professor Hecat. She will teach you the Incendio spell. You can now continue your progress with the main quest.

And so the quest: The Locket's Secret comes to an end, making way for your next main quest in Hogwarts Legacy: Secrets of the Restricted Section.
