The Daedalian Keys
In this Hogwarts Legacy side-quest guide, we'll explain the location and solution to the "The Daedalian Keys" side-quest.
Assignment Details
Available: Finish "Professor Hecat's Assignment 1".
Reward: Antique uniform (your house uniform)
Go to the shapeshifting courtyard and talk to Nellie to start this side quest. Join the mission marker to find a Daedalian Keys. Follow it to a cupboard on the lower level.
Interact with it to flatten the key as it passes the lock. This will give you a house token. Return to Nellie to find out more about the tokens.
Now head to the entrance of your house's common room to insert the token into the safe. You can now find the other 15 keys in Hogwarts to unlock the chest.
Location of Daedalian Keys
Jeton 2
From the Floo Flames spot in the Tower of Defense against the forces of evil, descend the stairs to find the Daedalian Keys is in front of the animal skeleton. The house furniture is on the floor above.
Jeton 3
Go to the Floo Flames spot in the Great Hall and turn around to go out into the hall to find the key. The cabinet is located at the bottom of the stairs.
Jeton 4
Another key is in the Great Hall, in front of the fireplace. The cabinet is located near the top of the stairs.
Jeton 5
From the Floo Flames spot in the Grand Staircase Tower, descend the stairs to find the key. Go back down the stairs to reach the cabinet.
Jeton 6
From the Floo Flames spot in the Great Hall, step outside into the central courtyard. Take the staircase to the southeast to find the key, and follow the key to the cabinet at the bottom of the staircase.

From the Floo Flames spot in the potions room, open the door to find the key. You'll find the cabinet at the bottom of the stairs.
Jeton 8
Now go to the library annex to find the key and the nearby cabinet.
Jeton 9
From the central hall of the library annex, climb the stairs to find the key in a corner of the corridor near the large door. The cabinet is one floor below.
Jeton 10
Head into the Central Hall to find the key next to a staircase. You'll find the cabinet next to the Arithmancy Door Puzzle on the other side.
Jeton 11
Join the Floo Flames spot in the Metamorphosis Courtyard and enter the double door, then go down the stairs to the dragon skeleton where the key is located. The cabinet is above the skeleton.
Jeton 12
From the previous dragon, continue down the corridor to find the key. You'll find the cabinet at the end of the corridor by following the key from the cauldrons.
Jeton 13
Move forward in the story to access the infirmary in the south wing. Go down the corridor to the mechanism level to find the key. The cabinet is located on the floor below, close to the key.
Jeton 14
From the infirmary, descend two floors to find the key in front of the Arithmancy Door Puzzle. The cabinet is located on the lower floor. (Once again, you'll need to be well advanced in the story, having learned Alohomora lvl.1).
Jeton 15
From the Floo Flames spot in the bell tower courtyard. Go through the door on your left at the top of the stairs and climb the stairs to find the key and the cabinet.
Jeton 16
Once you've obtained the level 1 Alohomora spell, you can reach the Floo Flames spot in the clock tower courtyard in the south wing to unlock the door. Go to the upper floor to find the key. Follow it to the cabinet at the very top of the tower. This is also the location of the secret bell tower.
